UJI ADAPTASI CALON VARIETAS UNGGUL AKAR WANGI PRODUKSITINGGI (≥ 40 KG/HA MINYAK) DAN MUTU TINGGI (KADAR VETIVEROL >50 %) PADA TIGA AGROKLIMAT

ABSTRAK

Balittro telah memiliki beberapa nomor harapan akarwangi hasil seleksi yang perlu diuji multi lokasi untuk persiapan pelepasan varietas. Penelitian uji adaptasidilakukanpada tiga agroklimat berbeda. Kegiatan tahun 2010 merupakan pengamatan terhadap pertanaman kedua yang ditanam tahun 2009. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai Januari sampai Desember 2010. Penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Garut pada tiga lokasi dengan kondisi agroekologi berbeda, yaitu di Desa Sukakarya, Kecamatan Samarang; Desa Pada Awas, Kecamatan Pasir Wangi; dan Desa Cinta Negara, Kecamatan Cigedug. Di setiap lokasi ditanam lima nomor calon varietas unggul akarwangi, yaitu nomor M1, M2, M3, M4 dan PW, serta varietas lokal (L) sebagai pembanding. Jarak tanam 70 x 50 cm, populasi per petak 50 tanaman masing-maisng dengan 3 anakan. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok yang diulang 5 kali. Parameter pertumbuhan yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, rendemen minyak dan kualitas minyak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada umur 7 bulan, daun tanaman akarwangi mulai kuning ± 30%, dan pada saat panen (umur 11 bulan 20 hari) kondisi tanaman terlihat sehat dan kuat. Secara umum pertumbuhan tanaman di desa Cigedug Cinta Negara terlihat lebih baik, sementara produksi akar basah dan kering pada percobaan di Desa Sukakarya Samarang lebih berat dibandingkan dengan di dua lokasi lainnya, yaitu Pada Awas Pasir Wangi dan Desar Cigeduk Cinta Negara yaitu 592,5 gram basah pada tanaman M1 dan keringnya 285 garam pada nomor M4.Hasil analisis kadar minyak tertinggi yaitu pada M2 di Samarang yaitu 1,74 % M4 di desa Pasir wangi yaitu 2,75 % dan PW di desa Cinta Negara yaitu 1,39 % dan kadar Vetiverol tertinggi pada calon varietas unggul M4 di desa Samarang yaitu 57,14 %, PW di Pasir wangi yaitu 58,85 % dan di Cinta Negara 59,66 % juga pada nomor unggulan PW. Berdasarkan pengamatan terhadap beberapa karakteristik morfologi dan produksi mutu minyak aksesi M4 lebih baik dari yang lain. M4 dengan produksi minyak 1,682 %, kadar vetiverol 57,478 %. Rata – rata ketiga lokasi akarwangi nomor M4 memperlihatkan karakter yang paling unggul dan berpotensi untuk dilepas sebagai varietas unggul.

ABSTRACT

IMACRI have had a few number of selected vetiver expectations that need to be tested in preparation for the release of multi-location variety. The study of adaptation trials conducted at three different agro-climatic. Activities in 2010 is the observation of the second crop planted in 2009. The experiment was conducted from January to December 2010. The study was conducted in Garut regency in three locations with different agro-ecological conditions, namely in the Village Sukakarya, District Samarang; Village On Watch, Pasir Wangi District; and Love Country Village, District Cigedug. At each location planted five varieties vetiver number of candidates, namely the number of M1, M2, M3, M4 and PW, as well as local varieties (L) as a comparison. Spacing 70 x 50 cm, the population of 50 plants per plot each of these with 3 chicks. The study used a randomized block design which was repeated 5 times. Growth parameters observed were plant height, number of tillers, yield of oil and oil quality. The results showed that at age 7 months, vetiver plant leaves begin to yellow ± 30%, and at harvest (age 11 months, 20 days) condition of the plant looks healthy and strong. In general, plant growth in the village Cigedug Country Love look better, while the production of wet and dry roots in an experiment in the village of Sukakarya Samarang heavier than in two other locations, namely the Sand Watch Cigeduk Love Perfume and Country Village is 592.5 grams wet on M1 plants and 285 dry salt on the number M4.Hasil highest oil content analysis on the M2 in Samarang namely 1.74% M4 in the village of Sand fragrance that is 2.75% and PW in the village of Love State of 1.39% and grade Vetiverol The highest yielding varieties candidate Samarang M4 in the village that is 57.14%, the PW in the Sand fragrance that is 58.85% and 59.66% State of Love is also on the winning number PW.Based on the observations of some morphological characteristics and production of oil quality accession M4 better than the other. M4 with oil production of 1.682%, 57.478% vetiverol levels. – Average number M4 vetiver three sites showed the most excellent character and potential for release as varieties.
